Considered to be the oldest hostel in Camagüey and a city’s landmark, Hostelling International Hostel Plaza still preserves most of its original architectural features and today it has 67 en suite rooms with air conditioning. As part of its historic heritage, it is said that the Chilean poetess Gabriela Mistral came here. Also the first radio broadcasting outside the Cuban capital took place here.
